I went into the library.

((T_T I'm counting on you to introduce plot elements and story development, or am I allowed to help with that?)) Icarus sighed as he sat down to seemingly catch his breath but was actually beginning a database search of an area like this island.

(Nothing too interesting will happen until we get to 4-12. This is an opportunity for others to join.)
I began reading books about the curse.

((Looks like theres going to be SAO levels of character development on Icarus then))
Icarus was fascinated by the library's collection, he had never seen books like this or a collection this large. "In Tokyo-3 I've only seen a few books, technology replaced them as a source of knowledge..." he said as he examined a few. "Even so, the books I have seen, and the ones in my database...These books aren't even as so mentioned or appeared to have been existence to NERV or SEELE at all..." he said to himself somewhat silently.

"I stopped with books when I was six. When I got kicked from school and ran away from reality. " I say, finishing the one I had read- or the only parts I needed from it.

Icarus hung his head a little bit, "Oh.....well, if it makes you feel any better, I never got to go to school, I've always been used to carry out the demands and actions of others.." he said as he remembered all the times he had to go out onto the battlefield.

"That wouldn't make anyone feel good. I hate listening to others." I say.

"Oh, I'm sorry then..." he said gloomingly as he got up and proceeded to walk to the route to the next area.

I follow. I think he might've taken what I said the wrong way. "By 'listen' I meant taking orders." I say.

Icarus nodded, "Oh, I'm sorry then, for misunderstanding what you said." he said as he continued on his path. "I couldn't help it those times, after all, it's what I was made to do..." he said, accidentally letting a hint about his true self slip.

"Made? Are you like an awesome buttkicking cyborg?" I ask, holding up a flamethrower I got from Unomed.

Icarus chuckled, "Heh, I guess you could designate me that. But that's enough about me, what'd you find about this curse?" he said as he clutched his left hand.

I hand him the book at the right page.

Icarus read carefully, and a mortifying look expression replaced his current. He reread in an attempt to see if he may have made a mistake, "This is bad...this is definitely bad..." he said as he realized he as a mechanical being could not make mistakes, usually.

(Trololol The curse affects different parts of the island at different times. )
"Nothing else. It doesn't say when, what, or where." I say, crossing my arms.
