Icarus pulled Asuka away, "Asuka, don't close yourself off from others." he stated, "The more you do, the more you hurt yourself." he followed. "We can't help you heal the pain you feel unless we let us." he asked. "So please Asuka, instead of pushing us away, let us in so that we can help you, let me help you..." he said, with the first sense of emotion in his entire history with Asuka. The fiery temper had been calmed by the Phantom's words, "I...I just want friends..." she said as she hugged Icarus and Icarus hugged her back. "I'll be you friend...I'll be your friend for as long as I exist." he said emotionally.

Icarus smiled, "You won't have to worry about being alone anymore Asuka, as long as I stand, I'll be your friend." he reassured. Asuka smiled a bit as her tears cleared, "Th-Thank you..." she said as she let go of Icarus. Icarus headed to the cook station, "So what do you want to eat?" he asked. Asuka sat down and waited patiently, "I suppose the usual." she said as she flipped open a tablet and played a few games. Icarus began his usual cooking, except it was for a person with a new attitude.

Icarus quickly finished the cooking and set the meal down, and waited for Asuka to finish. Asuka, now with a new attitude towards others and life, enjoyed it deeply, "I've yet admit it before but your cooking is great!" she said as she bit in. Icarus smiled and scratched his head, "Glad you think it is." he said as he answered a call. From NERV itself, it appeared that no Angel attacks have occurred or will occur, which means the Pilots and Units are on a technical "Vacation."
