Hey everyone, this guide is mainly directed at newer players. If you're a pretty good trainer that does training jobs for others you'll understand the troubles of teaching newer players how levels and exp differ and how they work. Now you can just send them the link to this thread :)

This thread will also benefit moderate - strong players too as i will mention the exp value for every level milestone up to 40k :) this will save you time when youre doing your training jobs or even for self check of levels when training your own pokemon.

HOW EXP AND LEVELS WORK:
Levels and exp are very different and every level comes with an exp value (for example, the exp value for level 1,000 is 1,000,000,000 (1 billion) exp. Exp is a recurring increase as you level up more, however levels always stay at the same increase (1 number per level up).

WHY EXP IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LEVELS:
Most of the newer players like to talk in levels when discussing training jobs. Exp is the more important way to discuss deals because when a pokemon is leveled up, more exp is required to pass the next level. (For example, for a pokemon level 5 to get to level 6, 91 exp is required. however for that pokemon to get from level 6 to level 7, 127 exp is required). This keeps going on and on and for the player training your pokemon they are going to have a fixed (doesnt change) amount of exp every battle they train it. This means less levels will be gained as they keep training, which proves that the exp amount is more important.

RECIEVING EXP:
When training your own pokemon, if you successfully faint an opposing pokemon you receive a certain amount of exp. This amount of exp is determined by the level of the pokemon you fainted, so you receive more exp if your opponent is at a higher level. There are training npcs in this game such as Swimmer Richard or Dark Alley's Mysterious Trainer and these npcs' pokemon will increase in level when your highest leveled pokemon increase in level too however different opponents increase their levels at different rates (For example, Swimmer Richard's pokemon will always be twice the level of your highest leveled pokemon).

level 2,000 - 8,000,000,000 (8 billion) exp
level 3,000 - 27,000,000,000 (27 billion) exp
level 4,000 - 64,000,000,000 (64 billion) exp
level 5,000 - 125,000,000,000 (125 billion) exp
level 6,000 - 216,000,000,000 (216 billion) exp
level 7,000 - 343,000,000,000 (343 billion) exp
level 8,000 - 512,000,000,000 (512 billion) exp
level 9,000 - 729,000,000,000 (729 billion) exp
level 10,000 - 1,000,000,000,000 (1 trillion) exp
level 11,000 - 1,331,000,000,000 (1 trillion, 331 billion) exp
level 12,000 - 1,728,000,000,000 (1 trillion, 728 billion) exp
