Well, in order to make a contest work, you have to have something of value that people want. Since you seem to be new, you dont have anything of value at the moment, I would suggest holding out on making a contest until you obtain several good pokemon (shiny, shadow,etc.) If you want to make a contest right now with the current pokemon you have, i doubt that anyone will truly take the time to participate in your contest. I hope this helps you out.
