I dont know how and i just was wondering.

go to map. Well you should have the item finder/dowsing machine. I think it works the same as finding a map pokemon.
But for the item finder, you should check the weather if it's fine. |

You can use the nuggets to get a price in the lab. You can find them by buying an Item Finder for 2,500 Coins, attaching it to your starter and walking around the maps. There is a very low chance to find some.
