Well, this just came up to me. I am a hardcore pokemon fan who has all the games, and even when I play all the Games in chronological order, Mew is olny really stated about in Kanto and Jhoto. Then here comes Arceus, and the pokedex entries say it " Hatched from an egg when there was nothing but chaos, and Created the world." But, only, like 3 generations later, This big horse, Arceus, is running the show.

So? My theory is that, people in Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn think Mew is the "God/dess of all pokemon", in religious terms, and Arceus is the "God/dess" Of pokemon in Sinnoh and Unova. What is your theory? Do any storyline plots in any games give you any ideas? I thought the cubone/ pokemontower plot in pokemon red would have some sort of importance throughout the game. So? What do you think...

Well, as legend goes, Arceus is the "God" of all Pokemon, and Mew was made to create the pokemon.

So, to answer your question in a nutshell, Arceus is the "God" of Pokemon.

Well I think that Arceus is the God of Pokemon, because he is called "The Original One" and is the one who created the Creation Trio and Lake Guardians. He is thought to be the creator of Sinnoh and perhaps the whole Pokemon Universe. Also if he is only seen as God in Sinnoh and Unova why not any other region? I can understand that people in Sinnoh see him as the God of Pokemon, but in Unova not really. Unova is far far away from the other regions and if the belief did cross over from Sinnoh to Unova it has also have some if not a lot of people that believe the same in the other regions.

Pssh. Acreus, the "god of all pokemon"? Anytime someone asks me that, I always say Mew! For one, Mew came WAY before Arceus was even thought of. Plus, Mew can transform into any pokemon. Mew contains the DNA of every Pokemon. It can learn and use every move. And now that Arceus has been introduced, that means it can transform into Arceus too, and use Judgement as well. While Arceus may have a bit power over types with the whole, Multitype ability and all those different plate things, Mew can just transform into Arceus and start changing type too! So Mew is truly the "god of all pokemon".

So what if Mew was introduced before, no one knows who God is irl. So Arceus could've been God and no one knew about it xP
