like if i have an equation
2y+7y-9/4=4/9
When I shift 9/4 to right, what will it become? Can you tell me about that so I can understand?

it is a rule in equality, if you want to get rid of (-9/4) from the left you have to add something that is opposite to that and make it zero, since we have(-9/4) then we need (+9/4) to be added on both sides the new equation would become
2y+7y-9/4+9/4=4/9+9/4
then
2y+7y=4/9+9/4
remember that whatever you have done in one part of the equation you have to do it on the other side.

it is not actually shifting, but most people find it easier to understand, so if you have
2y+7y-9/4=4/9
the term that needs to be removed on the left side is negated and placed on the right side.
2y+7y=4/9+9/4

i hope it helps!

yeah, it really helped thanks. btw, if the numbers are in multiplication, we will divide them with a number right?

first, move all terms with variable to the left side of the equation and those that hasn't got any variable to the right side of the equation
in this case.
x^2+4=8
x^2+4-4=8-4
we applied the properties of equality to remove 4 from the right side.
x^2=4
next, we have to get rid of the exponents from the variable and to do that we need to find the square root of both sides.
sqrt(x^2)=sqrt(4)
x=2,x=-2
we will be getting two values since the resulting value from a squareroot is positive and negative.

i hope it helps.
