Any Problems In Mathematics?
I am a Mathematics Major, you can ask me to help you do your assignments in mathematics, you can also ask me to answer a few problems that i can.. I can do algebra, trigonometry, geometry and calculus, some other subjects too sometimes. I can assure that there would be sense in my computations and not just a child's work..

thanks for consulting. i wont mention your name, but i hope this helps for others who might encounter the same problem..

Verify the following identity:
(1-cos(2 x))/(1+cos(2 x)) = tan(x)^2
Eliminate the denominator on the left hand side.
Multiply both sides by 1+cos(2 x):
1-cos(2 x) = tan(x)^2 (1+cos(2 x))
Express the right hand side in terms of sine and cosine.
Write tangent as sine/cosine:
1-cos(2 x) = ( (sin(x))/(cos(x)) ^2 ) (1+cos(2 x))
Simplify the right hand side.
(1+cos(2 x)) ((sin(x))/(cos(x)))^2 = ((1+cos(2 x)) sin(x)^2)/cos(x)^2:
1-cos(2 x) = (sin(x)^2 (1+cos(2 x)))/cos(x)^2
Eliminate the denominator on the right hand side.
Multiply both sides by cos(x)^2:
cos(x)^2 (1-cos(2 x)) = sin(x)^2 (1+cos(2 x))
Apply a power reduction formula to cos(x)^2.
cos(x)^2 = 1/2 (1+cos(2 x)):
(1+cos(2 x))/2 (1-cos(2 x)) = sin(x)^2 (1+cos(2 x))
Apply a power reduction formula to sin(x)^2.
sin(x)^2 = 1/2 (1-cos(2 x)):
((1-cos(2 x)) (1+cos(2 x)))/2 = (1-cos(2 x))/2 (1+cos(2 x))
Come to a conclusion.
The left hand side and right hand side are identical

know the basics, all other problems come from the basics, if you don't know the first few identities you can't come up with those which are more complex.. love what you do and do what you want.
if you love somebody, consciously you try to know them more.
same goes with subjects, if you like the subject you will discover and learn more..

^^ Yay! I don't have a clue what calculus is! -.- Boo!

I'm in 6th, so.. But I am a star student, I have straight A's and some people could use grammar instead. I'll most likely overpass math in the future, since it's my favorite subject.

elishagrace, can you teach me about shifting numbers from left to right?
like if i have an equation
2y+7y-9/4=4/9
When I shift 9/4 to right, what will it become? Can you tell me about that so I can understand?
Thank this message
