Veck was sitting outside the school.

Claus felt like he should know the kid he sat next to for some reason, but he couldn't place his finger on it. Claus wrote the paper with a messy half-cursive half-print handing writing.

I write it and turn it in. Then later on, we go to recess.

Claus went out for recess. He looked around for Lucas, but he didn't find him. Claus sat down on a bench and waited for the bell to ring.

Appearance: Imagine Zack from Vortex aged back to 9.
Hero Appearance: This guy with an orange face mask, a helmet that looks like an orange half, and orange clothes and scarf. On his jacket is a piece of toast smeared with marmalade in the shape of two letters- "O" and "M." His shoes are a dark gray color.
Power: Manipulation of Orange Marmalade.

I swing on the swingset.

The bell rang and Claus went back inside. He walked to his locker. He met Lucas there. "Where were you?" Claus asked. "I got in trouble." Lucas explained. "But I'm suppose to be the troublemaker!" Claus protested.

I ran to the room, holding the books over my head, getting-and liking- much attention.

Claus saw a kid run into the classroom, protecting his head with his books. Claus softly laughed at the scene.

I put down the books on the desk. Even though I know who the "Masked Man" was.

Claus half-listened to the teacher. He already knew all this stuff, even though he knew it won't help him later in life./

After school, I get on the bus. I thought about my friends back at home. I tighten my hood and silently cry.

Claus was reunited with Lucas at their lockers. They put their stuff in their backpacks and got on the bus. They talked about their day at school until they got off and had omelets for dinner.
