Aero laughed. "Sure, you are." She said, but felt happy that he seemed in better spirits. She flipped over one of the pancakes. "Pancakes are finished!" She announced.

I got up, and said, "I'm not hungry, but I'm gonna go sharpen my teeth and knives."

"All right," Aero replied, and put the pancakes on a plate for herself.

I grabbed a rock, and began grinding.

Aero began pouring maple syrup and whipped cream over her pancakes.

The rock broke in half. "I, uhh.... Think they're sharp enough...." I say, "Imma need a new grinding rock..."

Aero glanced over and laughed at the sight of Ace holding two rock halves, one in each hand. She returned to her pancakes and took a huge bite out of her stack.

Another bone snapped, and it could be heard, I bit my lip without thinking, and it punctured. "I think I need some bandages," I said, gurgling on my own blood.

Aero heard the snap, and she stood up quickly. "You need more than bandages," Aero said, walking over to the phone. "You need to go to the hospital."

"But that's, like, the seventh time this week!" I say, swiping my knife across my left arm.

Areo rolled her eyes. "That's because it's necessary." She replied simply.

I sighed, "They better not mess with my teeth," I say.

"I'll tell them not to," Aero promised, and called the hospital.

"Good," I say, and began sharpening a pencil.

The ambulance sirens got louder and louder until they stopped, and some people knocked on the door. "C'mon, Ace." Aero said, coming over to him and holding his hand.
