Icarus raised himself to speak, "Now, people, demons, angels, etc. I'm sure we can settle these differences without having to brutally murder another person." he said peacefully and ambassador-like.

Midnite laughed. "Ace is gone, forever. "He says, ready to snap the life force bone.

Icarus stopped, "What do you want for it? What do you want for Ace's life?" he questioned, "If you would kindly elaborate your desires, I'm sure we can get what you want." he stated.

"The Recovery Gem," Midnite says, "I'll gladly hand you his life force for it."

Icarus nodded, "Now, the fact that I've been in the hospital for a few hours before this series of events has occurred, what is this Recovery Gem, what holds it, and where can I find it?" he said as he began a search for an item of that name in his database.

"In his neck. Just get it and you can have the wimp back." Midnite says.

Icarus vanished and returned quickly, holding Ace, he then peered at Ace's neck and began to cut into it with the percision of a surgeon, or a Scout Regimen Member cutting into a Titan's Neck.

A crimson gem glimmered.
"That, it's not financially valuable, but it has much meaning to me." Midnite says, stuffing the bone into my ribcage. "I want his immortality. "

Icarus plucked it out, "Is that really it?" he questioned, "Immortality? I've died plenty of times and I've always come back good as new." he said remembering the times he's died to protect those he's designated to protect.

"It's his soul," Midnite says.

Icarus turned a bit serious and over rode it, "So basically if I give this to you he'll turn into a walking corpse?" he asked jokingly. "Does this also mean you're still mortal?" he questioned.

"He was born to protect, not to be a teenager," Midnite says, "I'm doing you all a favor,"
(Also, that ginger joke isn't funny. I have a friend like that, he's offended by that.)

Icarus sighed, "So, he'll turn into a autonomous being?" he questioned. "What is existence without emotion alongside it?" he questioned as he remembered his existence before emotion was learned.

"Ace is dangerous." Midnite said.
