This could be implemented to auction house where you could have the choice of making a silent auction meaning that when someone outbids you, you will not get an event message. This would also mean having an option to check silent auctions.

So, basically, if I'm reading this right, you have normal options, only you can choose if you want it to be silent auctions? Or is it something different, like the seller picks?

Yeah. Then that might be good. Make it harder for people to outbid you, but then again, some people may be mad about it if people mark it as a silent auction. But ya can't win 'em all. Hmm. 7/10?

I am not a big fan auction but i do it sometimes when u outbid somebody and the event wont come they might even get to know if they have won or lose and wil be a bit shock and no need of silent auction that can be checked with winning bids or timeleft so 5/10

I think the thread means, if you bid on a pokemon in AH and if someone beat that bid placed by you, then you wont get event messages like EliteBOY has just beaten your bid on ShinyGolurk in Auction house!!! If im right, then i rate it 9/10! Thanks for the plan J Man
