"Yeah.... I actually rescued her... Her parents threw her off the rear platform of a train. I healed her wounds and made her forget about that incident..." He said. "Thanks.."

I finish tending to Sylph and go after Frazz, shouting her name multiple times.
"Frazz, Frazz!" I call, "I just wanna talk," I say through cupped hands to enhance the volume.

Frazz popped up behind Ace and dragged him into a little grove. "What?" She asked, her words laced with suspicion and anger.

"Frazz, look, if I knew they were your parents, I wouldn't have touched them. But they abandoned you, and that's not right," I explain. "We're here, we take care of you."

Valkerie was right behind Ace without any of them knowing. "It's true." She suddenly stated.

Frazz just looked at Ace. "So, let's see.... Dumping me in the middle of a deadly maze when I was four, forcing me to kill people, helping my "brother" with making organ cookies, and getting food once a week... If I'm lucky. That's caring for someone?" She snorted, turning her back to the older boy and fiddling with some hair.

Valkerie picked her up again with a flick of her finger and turned her to face them. "We didn't throw you off the back of a train to die and or get run over..." She stated.

"I would've been better off dead. It's not like I belong here anyways. I belong six feet under, just like my parents intended..." She stated, glaring at a snail crawling across the rocky ground.

I couldn't say anything. I was too busy thinking how I could possibly comfort her.

"And anyways... Everything dies one day..." She stated as she crushed the snail under her shoe.

Valkerie slapped some sence into her. "Suck it up buttercup. We all had pasts, we all live now, we all speak now. Get over it and move on, reap what you sow." She stated.

Frazz nodded and walked away, dragging some rope and construction supplies along with her.

Valkerie came with her.

Frazz turned around and looked at her. "Why are you following me."

I was following as well.
