They're pretty good. xD I liked all the ones I played except '06, but there are some people who like that one, so IDK.
In the first few you pretty much beat all the levels and try to obtain all the Chaos Emeralds and save the world. (Nobody speaks in those, but I can't get Tails to stop stealin' my air bubbles. Dx)
They're a LOT harder than the newer games though. (Water zones are always the worst.)
The newer ones are really funny. xD (Ehh, same sort of plot. Save the worlds and get all the Emeralds.) Even Boom (imo) was good, even though everyone's hating on it. There were a LOT of funny cutscenes in that like these xD:

A lot of the other games have really funny cutscenes as well. :P
Plus hey, even if you hate the game, you can't deny that it has awesome music. ;P
