What if the Pokemon can only be obtained via swaps?
Or do you really strictly want map Pokemon only?

Yeah I agree. The pokemon should be found only from maps, because otherwise it will be super easy to get these pokemon from swapping.

I think it should be strictly map pokemons.
Also, I do not know how this will work with people already having thousands of pokemons from maps competing against those who are just starting to catch.
Seems unfair but at the same time, the people who took the time to search and catch each pokemon are being rewarded.

Overall, Im glad this is being brought back and will add more functionality with the maps :)

Edit:
I think the prizes should be a rare, new, colored pokemon instead of coins.
This will help introduce new pokemons instead of just waiting for promo changes and halloween event

He has a point in it. There are some people who already have a lot of map pokes stored up. It'll be unfair with the people who just starts to catch Pokemons!

So these are my solutions for it:

* The Pokemons that are to be submitted must have creation date greater than or equal to collection contest start date. This makes it completely fair. We have to catch new Pokemons! When a person tries to submit Pokemons to the collection contest, it should just show the Pokemons which are eligible (i.e by checking the creation date of each Pokemons)

This might be hard to code, but this is one of the solutions to make it fair.

* For me, this one seems more convenient!
Just add a new Pokemon to the map, which is not there in game yet. (Ofc, this is a dummy Pokemon and it'll be automatically deleted when the collection contest ends).

I think it'll not be that hard to delete the Pokemon at the end.

Good ideas, I will use these ideas.

I am also thinking of a small reward per donation, maybe 2 coins, Orienteering EXP equiv to catching 1 Pokemon, $100,000 and 1,000 Points.
