"Yeah, his assistant. What did you think- we were married? I am married, but not to him. He does adore my fur, which most guys do." She says.

"Well, uh, I guess I did kinda assume..." Star said, hiding her head in embarrassment.

"It's fine, a lot of the girls think that too. No, I'm married to a coyote. But if you really wanna know, I think he likes you a little."

Star's heart leapt. "No way. He couldn't like someone like me..." She stated.

"He's a big guy, he sees everyone smaller than him. Besides, when that panther was there, lives were lost, he saved you. That's gotta mean something." Sparky says.

"Well, an abnormally small wolf- and I don't care what you say, he must see how small I am- and I was stuck. He did what any good pack-leader would have done." Star replied.

"Now you're just denying it," She says, leaving. "Remember, he likes you- at least a little."

"Yeah, right..." Star mumbled. But... What if it was true?

I came back, a few scratches on my face, one across my eye being very deep. I collapsed and fell unconscious.

"Woah! Ace!" Star crouched by Ace's side, concerned.

I opened one of my eyes and struggle to stand, only to fall again, there was a gash in my front leg, and bite marks on my back.

Star looked around, and left. She came back about half an hour later with many different herbs. She took one and chewed it up.
"This'll sting." She said, and squeezed the juices onto his wound.

I twitch my ear and shut my eyes once the juices hit my wound.

"There... That should stop infection." Star said. She pulled some cobweb from her pile of herbs and layer it over the wound. "That should act as a bandage, and finally," She then pulled out a poppy and shook out some seeds. "Take about 5 seeds everyday, and it should act as a painkiller." She told Ace.

I smile feebly, laying my head under my paws, falling unconscious again.
