Startled, Aero jumped, but then quickly closed the window. She glanced over Ace's shoulder, making sure the door was locked, and then sat on her bed. Ace sat down beside her, and she explained her entire backstory. How she couldn't get an education, no friends, how her mother ignored her and her father beat her daily, and how she's never fit in anywhere. By the end, she was sobbing into her hands.
"I-I'm sorry. Your life is so much worse than mine..." She sobbed.

He pulls her into a hug. "No, no, no... Aero, it's gonna be okay. If you want to, I can take you to my place," he whispers.

"I can't... My parents will kill me..." Aero protested.

"I can't leave you like this." He says. "I have no parents and I'm willing to take care of you."

"Well..." Aero hesitated, but Ace took the hesitation as an 'ok'.

"Grab your things, we need to go... " He says.

Aero looked surprised, but then just grabbed the Phoenix painting.
"My parents wouldn't give me anything else. This is all I have." She said.

He takes her hand and they teleport to his little house. There were 2 floors, 3 bedrooms, and a kitchen/dining room. In the living room, there was a fireplace and a chair. A couch and loveseat (A couch with two spots to sit). "Go upstairs and pick yourself a room." He says.

Aero nodded in thanks, went up stairs and collapsed in one of the beds and immediately fell asleep.
(Yeah, real smart, Aero, falling asleep in a dude's house. XD)

Ace walked in her room, smiled, and went in his own and fell asleep. It was probably midnight when he yelled in pain.

Aero jerked awake at the scream. Did she imagine it? She didn't hear another noise. She went back to sleep, assuming it was just a dream.

He yelled again until it was blocked out by him coughing up blood. He knew what this was, Midnite, his spiritual brother was attempting to kill him. Ace managed his dark magic, which kept Midnite away for a month.

Aero awoke again, and was certain that this time, it wasn't a dream of her imagining it. She got up, and quietly walked down the hall and cracked open the door to Ace's room without making a sound.

Ace was on the floor next-to-dead unconcious with much blood on the ground. Aero could feel a wave of darkness surround her.

Aero shivered, but she took a couple steps closer to Ace.
