"I'm fine." I replied, getting up.
"I don't think it's hurt. Just knocked me over!" I added, laughing.

"Alright, good!" Mochi said, sighing in relief. "I don't want any of my new friends to get hurt!" He added, looking around at all of them.

Lily rubbed at her nose.
"Your nose okay?" I asked.
"I think so... It just stings a bit." she replied.

"Dunking it in cold water helps," Mochi suggested. "It may sound unpleasant, and it is; but it makes it numb so you don't feel the pain."

Lily went and took a sip of the water.
"It feels a bit better now. Thanks." she said.

"No problem! You pick up a few tricks when you're a stray." He replied, winking playfully.

"Puppies!" the woman called.
"Time to come insiiiiiiide!"
"I guess that means we have to go..." I sadly said.
"Hope to play with you again sometime."

Mochi smiled and waved his tail good-bye. "I promise I'll come again tomorrow!" He said, and turned around. He squeezed his way through the fence and began his trek back to his alleyway.

The three of us walked into the house.
"BATH TIME!" she told us.
"Aw crap." Pudding whined.

Meanwhile, the lights were starting to come on in the busy streets. Mochi padded confidently through the sidewalk, tail held high. He, once again, skillfully maneuvered his way around all the human's feet and legs, until he reached a narrow alleyway. He slid through, and hopped up a crumbling brick wall. After he padded along the wall for a while, he hopped down into his alleyway. "Home sweet home." He murmured, and plopped down on the newspaper he called a bed.

After our baths, the woman put us to bed.

Mochi rested his head on his paws, eyes drooping. Letting out a yawn, he then fell into a deep slumber.

(The next day)
I woke up, and stretched with a loud yawn.

As the sun filtered into Mochi's "home", the Corgi blinked open his eyes. Yawning, he looked up at the clear patch of blue sky that he could see. Standing up, he knew it was time to do his daily rounds, looking for scraps of food.
But then he remembered the day before. Grinning, Mochi remembered the fun he had with the three Beagles. I'm gonna go there first today! He thought, a mischievous glint in his eyes. And then he set off.

The woman let us outside to use the bathroom, and dork around or whatever, while she got a few things done.
