I have to get up, Mochi told himself. When he tried to get up, his legs seemed to fail him and he fell over, vomiting a bit more.

I need to see Violet. He thought. I need to see Pudding, and Lily! He forced himself up. Pain enveloped Mochi, but he pushed it away. He began to shakily and slowly walk out of the alleyway.

Mochi dragged himself along, occasionally yipping when someone stepped on him. He reached the entrance to the neighborhood areas, and collapsed.

"Wait! Violet!" she called, running after me.
