"I bide my time." Lucas said. "This ain't the last you've seen of me." Then he ran off.

Ray's one arm was badly burnt, but the grenade did not explode to it's full force, leaving some of his body unharmed.

"Ray! Are you okay!?" I exclaimed.
"Well it was a good thing he was already in a hospital." one of the doctors commented, dragging Ray to another room.

"I'll be fine." Ray said.

I was speechless. So much had already gone on today, and the day wasn't even over yet.

Ray looked at his arm. "It couldn't of been my writing arm." He said, "Now I can't get off from school."

I was still in the same room Ace was in. After about 45 minutes, the doctors had him all put back together again.

Ray got out of his hospital bed.

The anesthetic was still in effect.

Ray came into Ace's hospital room.

"He's still out. He should be for at least another-" I stopped and checked the clock. It was 3:49.
"-11 minutes." I finished.

"Oh." Ray said. "Do you know just how ruthless Lucas is? Watch yourself."

"We'll try." I replied.

"He's not physically threatning." Ray said. "It's all in the mind. He did that to Zeke, he did that to me, he'll try it on you, and Ace. Most likely Ace."

"We're going to have to find a safer place for him." I said, fiddling with a machine I was working on.

Ray looked out the window, then began to look with more interest. "Come see this." He said.
