Deerkit, Fiercekit, and Pantherkit were playing in the Apprentice Den. "Oh no, a fox is attacking!", Deerkit cried, as Shadepaw padded in. "ThunderClan, attack!" she mewed playfully as she and her littermates plunged onto Shadepaw's back and tail.

"Rawr! I'm going to eat you!" Shadepaw roared playfully. He reared up, causing the kits to fall off him, laughing.

"Oh no!", mewed the kits dramatically. They ran out of the Apprentice Den, still laughing. "I'm hungry!" Pantherkit meowed, his belly grumbling. "Let's get something to eat!" They ran over to the fresh-kill pile, each choosing a mouse. Bearclaw dashed into the clearing with Runningstorm at his side.

Piercingstar padded up to him, concern in her eyes. "What happened to the rest of the warriors?" Bearclaw shook his head. "Oh no... Not another pair of warriors dead..." Runningstorm hissed. "ShadowClan keeps trying to take over Snake Rocks, while RiverClan still eyes Sunning Rocks!"

Shadepaw's ears pricked up as he heard what the leader and warriors were saying. He bounded out and went to the warriors and Piercingstar.
"Let me fight!" He said, eyes sparkling in determination. He didn't care if he only became an apprentice last night; one thing he hated was greedy cats.

"No, Shadepaw. You don't have a mentor yet, and there are no other apprentices in the Clan." Piercingstar padded into her den, watching as her deputy Pebbleheart padded into the clearing. "Pebbleheart and I will discuss this...", she muttered sadly, just before the two disappeared in the shadows of the den.

"Hmph! I want to be an apprentice... Lucky Shadepaw...", whined Deerkit.

Shadepaw's tail drooped. He let out a huff, and sulked back to the apprentice den.

~~~Meanwhile~~~

Shimmerstar was in her den, talking with her best friend Dewheart and her sister Dappledstream.
"We NEED to take Sunning Rocks!" Dewheart said.
"I agree. Thunderclan has too much territory." Dappledstream agreed.
"While I definitely agree with both of your opinions, Thunderclan would probably sense us as a threat and attack, don't you think?" Shimmerstar sighed. The other two warriors nodded in agreement.

((I'm just gonna make a few more NPCs. XD))

"Bearclaw, Blackstripe, Shadepaw, and I am going on border patrol near Tallpines. Watch the Clan while I'm gone, Pebbleheart." Pebbleheart nodded. "You're hoping to get more warriors, aren't you?" he asked. "Yes, I'm afraid so." She trotted out of the den, and shouted the names of her border patrol.

Shadepaw bounded out of the den.
"Yes!!!!" He said victoriously.

"Calm down, Shadepaw. It's just a patrol," mewed Blackstripe. "Come on. We're burning daylight," Piercingstar added. Piercingstar in the lead, she motioned for her patrol to follow her as they headed into the inner woods.

Shadepaw followed happily.
"So, where are we going?" He asked.

"Tallpines," Blackstripe answered quickly.
Soon, they neared the border close to Twolegplace.

Shadepaw looked over at the Twolegplace.
"Those are Twoleg dens, right?" He asked. "They give of a... Eerie feeling, don't you think?"

~~~Meanwhile~~~

Shimmerstar led Dewheart and Dappledstream to the Thunderclan border. Shimmerstar sat, curling her tail over her paws.
"Why aren't we crossing the border? C'mon, we can get Sunning Rocks when they aren't here!" Dewheart meowed.
"Just follow Shimmerstar's lead. She knows what she's doing." Dappledstream sighed. The grey tom's whiskers twitched in irritation, but he eventually sighed and sat down like Shimmerstar and her sister.

"Yes...", Bearclaw replied, scanning the dens for a moment.
"Shh! Look there!" Piercingstar pointed towards a boundary fence.
Kittypet and rogue scent hit her nostrils as two cats padded along the fence, then they both bounded over it, tails and head high.
"...Mousebrains," Blackstripe grumbled.
