"You'll see soon enough, Shadepaw. Your mission here is to go and tackle those two cats... They look no older than you, any who," Piercingstar mewed. "Grr... Those mange-furs think they can just stroll onto our territory like it's there's! What mousebrains!" Blackstripe hissed.

"Well, they're mousbrained kittypets. They don't know any better!" Shadepaw hissed. "All right, those mousedung eating cats better be ready!" He added, unsheathing his claws.

"We'll scout the rest of the border. When you're done, return to camp. Bearclaw, Blackstripe, let's go." Piercingstar bounded away into the trees, moving as fast as a rabbit. "We're not really going to scout the rest of the border, are we?" Bearclaw guessed. "Nope, we're going to watch him from that tree. Come on!" she meowed, climbing up a tree, her warriors following close behind. Jumping from branch to branch, they soon reached a tall tree, and they climbed to one of the higher branches. "Remember, if things get ugly, we go in to help," Piercingstar reminded them.

Shadepaw let out a sigh of determination and looked over at the fence. He carefully-and silently- padded over to the fence. He jumped, unsheathing his claws to grab onto the wood. He then pulled himself up onto the top of the fence and looked down. He saw the two kittypets sitting, unsuspectingly underneath him. Shadepaw jumped, landing on top of the calico kittypet. It let out a screech as the other kittypet- a white one- backed away with a horrified look in their eyes. Shadepaw dug his claws into the kittypet's back. The kittypet attempted to shake Shadepaw off, but Shadepaw held on. Then the kittypet reared up, and Shadepaw allowed himself to slide off-but that was part of his plan. He then slid underneath the kittypet and raked his claws under the cat's vulnerable underbelly. The kittypet let out a yowl and fell on its side, breathing heavily. Shadepaw turned to the other kittypet, ready to fight it.

"Let's g--," Bearclaw had started, before being interrupted. "No. If these kittypets are strong enough, then we will go, but if they are weak, we'll let Shadepaw handle this."

Rage filled the white kittypets eyes. Shadepaw felt shocked at how intense it was. The kittypet leaped over to Shadepaw, claws unsheathed, teeth bared. Shadepaw dodged and lashed his paw out, but the white kittypet dodged that and knocked Shadepaw over. One thing was for sure; this kittypet was BIG. The white kittypet pinned Shadepaw down and brought its teeth to Shadepaw's neck.

Piercingstar flicked her tail towards Blackstripe. He leaped out of the tree, hooking his claws onto the fur near the kittypets neck and moving him to the side. Piercingstar and Bearclaw landed on the ground, their heads and tails high, trying to look respectable enough to the possibly new ThunderClan warriors.

"That's enough, Blackstripe." Blackstripe loosened his grip, standing behind the white rogue-smelling kittypet. "You fought hard, but you were caught. We saw you go onto our territory!" Piercingstar hissed.

Shadepaw got up. His heart was pounding with shock.
"Piercingstar," Shadepaw began, looking at his leader. "That cat... Do you think they could be...?" He asked, implying that he thought they could be a new Thunderclan member.

"Hush, Shadepaw," Piercingstar mewed gently. Her gaze said it all; This was why they had come. "What are your names? I certainly know you're not a kittypet, you have rogue-scent on you!" Blackstripe exclaimed.

Shadepaw looked down at his paws, but then remembered to set a good example and raised his head and tail up high. He saw that the white cat's fur was on end, and they were standing protectively in front of the calico cat. They lashed out at Piercingstar. Shadepaw jumped up, but seeing the look in Piercingstar's eyes, sat down again and licked his fur flat.

As the white cat tried to claw her, she raised her paw, wrapping her claws around the cats bigger paw. "We mean no harm," she meowed, letting go of the tom's paw. The calico cat had stopped advancing. Piercingstar flicked her ear towards Shadepaw. Bow!, she willed him silently. It was uncommon, but he had to do it so the attackers would no longer seem as hostile. "Now again, what are your names?" she meowed.

The white cat glared at Piercingstar.
"Name's Bone." He said gruffly. "That there's Ginger." He added, flicking his ears toward the calico cat.

(Are they from BloodClan? If they are, this happened way before there was even a Scourge. Also, they're 6 Moons old. ^.^')

Piercingstar let a few moments of silence pass before she spoke. "You fought well for a rogue and a kittypet. You too, Shadepaw. We were wondering how you'd stand against them. As I was saying, you were trespassing on ThunderClan territory. What were you doing?"

(No, they aren't from Bloodclan. I just thought of those names on a whim. =P)
"Hunting for prey." Ginger spoke for the first time. Unlike Bone, Ginger had a sweet and warm voice. "We haven't been able to find much lately."

"That's because it's close to leaf-bare, mousebrains!" Blackstripe hissed. "Calm down, Blackstripe," soothed Bearclaw. "You know nothing of our ways, do you? There isn't enough prey for everyone in these forests. You already have enough kittypet slop to eat, if you wanna' eat a mouse you should just join a Clan... We are wild and free, unlike you. We have our Clanmates to look after, and we always have our backs, even when we hunt alone."
