After Quatic hit Lillipup Cheren scoffed. "Is that all?" Cheren asked. "Lillipup keep using Quick Attack to get away and use Work Up when you can!" Cheren said with a smirk.

Acerios smiled, "I have a plan, don't you know!" he said as he sent Quatic into the brawl again with tactics of using Focus Energy and Leer once more. Acerios then got a message, as he got it he called a helicopter to pick him up quickly and take him back to the Egg Store and back after he finished. He did this because he knew Quatic knew the plan, at the store he turned to the shop owner, "I got your message, can I have number 10?" he asked.

"Old number 10, eh? Sure just let me get it." The old man said. "Here you go." The old man said handing the egg to Acerios. "Bye. Just let me know if you need something." The old man said.

Acerios smiled as he got it, "I'll call you if I need anything!" he said as he left, leaving his number which said "679-367-9639".

Rosie parked her bike and watched as Acerios talked to the old man.

Back in the Gym Cheren's lillipup was starting to get tired. It tried to use quick attack, but it was out of PP. "That's good enough, lillipup. With all of the Work Ups you did I bet you can one-shot his Pokemon." Cheren said. "Prove my theory! Use Tackle!" Cheren commanded. Lillipup lunged at Quatic.

Acerios rushed back as he did he saw the move begin it's journey, "Nice try, but you fell into my trap!" he said as he gave the hand sign for the finishing move. As soon as the move would become within range Quatic side swung and would use the add from the Leers and Focus Energies to use a over strengthened Bite.

Lillipup missed his target, but got scraped by Quatic's rough skin. Then Quatic used bite on Lillipup. Lillipup fell to the floor. "Lillipup, return." Cheren said. "Very good. I was surprised that you left in the middle of the fight and still won. Here take this." Cheren said as he handed Acerios the Basic Badge.

Rosie went up to the old man. She looked passed him at some eggs.

"It already looks like you have you're hands full with your egg right there." The old man said. "Your egg looks jealous. You better pay attention to it." The old man said.

Acerios gladly accepted the badge and walked over to Cheren, "Cheren, even though I've only known Quatic for a day I know I can trust it. We both trained hard and long to practice our unusual tactics. We had a good battle, care for a smoothie?" he said as he smiled.

"Eh, I was just wondering when it will hatch and I wanted to see if those did... Man, it's taking forever." Rosie said with a sigh. how am I supposed to complete my goal if I don't even have a pokemon yet?

"Remember the key to hatching an egg is to pay attention to it. Try different activities with it. Go to different environments. And most of all, love it." The old man said.

"Okkkkk... If you say so." Rosie said. She put the egg back in her bag, hopped on her bike and rode off.

Acerios waited for the Gym Leader's response, "Come on, I don't have all day.." he thought to himself showing no signs of it.
