"Good morning, little one." Shimmerstar mewed, looking down at him from the rock in camp.

"Huh! Um, good morning!" Pantherkit said, Surprised.

Shimmerstar leapt down.
"How are you?" She asked.

"I am fit and fine! You?" Pantherkit replied casuslly. After 5 seconds of silence, he bursted. "I'm sooo exited to become an apprentice! I was thinking too. Since you took me in, do you want to rename me?" Pantherkit asked innocently.

Shimmerstar touched Pantherkit's shoulder with her tail-tip.
"Would you like me to rename you?" She asked, purring.

"Sure!" Panther kit was exited about with his future with this new cat.

"Alright, I'll re-name you during the Apprentice Ceremony." Shimmerstar meowed.

"All cats old enough to swim across the river join under the mossy boulder for a clan meeting!" Shimmerstar yowled.

Pantherkit put a paw in the water, then yowled in the new feel of it to him. "Ummm... I can't swim." Pantherkit said innocently.

Shimmerstar sighed.
"It's a traditional thing. You don't have to be able to swim." She whispered, and then addressed the clan again. "This young tom has reached 6 moons and is ready to be an apprentice. Pantherkit, come up."

Pantherkit walks up, nervously shaking.

Shimmerstar looked down at him, her eyes glowing. "Pantherkit, from now on you shall be known as-" Shimmerstar let the suspense build up.
